I literally just paid for one yesterday and it's not supposed to ship until Monday, is that what I'm going to be receiving?
I will be extremely frank with you.
The systems that have been sent:
Have a very pretty, flashy and amazing interface. The way it integrates with the CAN BUS is like no other. The option to install only the head unit is Unique. Its a stable system and is really Fantastic in everything claimed in the brochure, except :
The Map support (GPS) for USA from our side was delayed and a little poor as we are just entering the US market.
The Date-Time CAN BUS of the US Cruze is a little different. Thus the format YYYY-MM-DD is not suitable for you, and sometimes it did resume military time. Although this issue is now sorted out in the new CAN BUS Controller.
The stock Ipod played without a display on the screen. A user found this annoying. The system is excellent, however, it has its bad points.
It is not equipped with A2DP. Now that I have told you all the drawbacks, there is nothing I am hiding. Dont forget, all the good points also do matter. Apparently very few people helped us solve the issues. Some of them had a problem with the few drawbacks. The system is fantastic, but like any computer program, it has a few drawbacks, that were and are being resolved step by step.
Now this is for the Old interface. Which looks kick ass, but has 2 to 3 bad points.
Thus, The new interface. 100% functionality guaranteed, MORE And MORE added features, Totally a new platform (Not rebuilt from the old interface)
You can opt for the new interface by paying just 50 USD extra (Roughly - final price will be out on monday). If you want that, we can upgrade you to the new system right away. If you want to try the standard interface, You can talk to The Duck, JefferyKehoe, Cruzeman and let us know. If you want to cancel your order, you will be refunded the entire amount (without the paypal charges)
So to sum it up,
1: Try the existing system ( Basically like a Sony PSP : Fantastic visual interface and great integration ) - just a few drawbacks, that are being solved, its just a matter of time
2: Pay a little extra, and have the new interface (Full review on Monday) shipped to you. THE GPS ISSUE IS COMPLETELY SOLVED NOW : We have hired a company to do the software and Maps for us
3: If you want all the money back, we can do that too (Minus the Paypal charges)
PS: The old interface can be just an add on to the existing system by adding only the head unit. It is equipped with an external DVD player if opted for.
The new system needs a complete replacement. New DVD player that fits in place of the CD player, that also has the main computer that shows outputs to the screen.
