Scosche DDR-GM02

I'm looking at replacing the factory stereo in my 2013 LT with an aftermarket, but I'm trying to see if I can keep the factory display somehow, along with the other features such as the chime, lighting, and lock settings that the stereo controls. Scosche makes a product, the DDR-GM02 that is supposed to allow you to retain the screen and vehicle controls, but I haven't seen anyone use it, nor can I get much info on it. It costs about $110 at Walmart, and if anyone has any pictures, video, or knowledge of how it works and if it works well, I'd like to know.

Is this a site you've ordered off of or have used a specific product from? I see that there is a similar product to the Scosche one I've found, have you used the GM data interface they list?
