Does anyone know what the sensor located at the top front passenger side of engine is? It’s just above the radiator hose and has a beige plug on it. It seems to have an influence on the radiator fan behavior.

My radiator fan was running constantly and I had no boost. I unplugged and replugged the connector for this sensor and the fan stopped and the boost returned to normal. Any idea why?

Update: I read elsewhere that unplugging the MAF sensor before disconnecting the battery will cause this behavior. I did unplug the MAF when doing my repairs, so mystery solved.
