Update: finally wrangled up a MDI to pull some info from the car, had a B101D code in history on one of the detection sensor modules. That code indicates a module defect. The system started working again, so I'm going to replace my negative battery cable, and put some magic (dielectric) grease on the connectors to the sensors. If the code reappears, module gets replaced, but since it only happened once I'm holding off so far. While I had the MDI I updated my steering module to the latest calibration to prevent stick-slip (even though I haven't experienced it that I know of) and updated my MyLINK to the latest version.
