While coming from a stop or clutch engaged or neutral, when I hit the gas petal I hear a single knock from engine. Don't know if it's something down the line of spark knock..anyone with similar issue or have heard of this.. only when I hit the gas with a little weight and it's a single knock, but it's repetitive if I hit it again.

Automatic? If so I wonder if it's the transmission reengaging after the stop.

Since you indicate it occurs in neutral and with the clutch Disengaged (engaged is when your foot is not on the pedal) I will speculate you are hearing the dual mass flywheel taking up the slack (internal springs compress) with a audible 'knock'

Without actually hearing it or knowing the intensity of the sound, my first thought is this is not abnormal.

We run 91 in the dodge viper so I've used that in the car when I did research about it and it's still there, still noticeable..I wish there was a way of recording sound. Not sure how good recording from inside would sound.
