G'day all, long time lurker first time poster..
So I have a 2014 Cruze SRi 1.6 Turbo in Australia. As much as I love driving this car, it has been an absolute money pit for me so far..

Recently have been experiencing misfiring in cylinder 4, had the P0304 code.
Given my little to no repair experience, I attempted to change the cylinder 4 spark plug, with one of these: Autolite Double Platinum Spark Plug APP3923DP2 2 Pack
-> no change.

Then I realized i had to re-gap the spark plug, so i did that to 0.7mm (no idea if it's the right gap)
-> no change.

Then I put in a new coil pack
-> finally no (minimal) misfiring. Only a slight jerk when I put the car in reverse from park.

I haven't got the time to check the misfire count yet, but seems like it's going to the right direction.
The questions i have for all of your bright minds are:
1. what is the proper gap for the spark plug? (I can find gap for 1.4 and 1.8, but not 1.6 turbo)
2. do I have to change all 4 spark plugs? or I only need to change the one that was misfiring?
3. what type of spark plugs do I need to use?

Thank you all:)

1.4L spec is 0.28 gap can’t confirm 1.6L. I would change all 4 sparks when doing so but to each their own if a spark plug looks good just leave it. I like NGK plugs
Is NGK plugs Iridium plugs?
The one that I have recently put in was a double plat..is that gonna be an issue? and do you think that would be the reason for the small jerk I experienced when I put the car in reverse?

Iridium is one style I like the vpower plugs on the Cruze , iridium for me works wonders on other cars and as far as the jerk I am not sure I doubt the plugs any other problems with the car ?

I changed the alternator 9 months ago. I then changed the valve cover 3months ago because of the PVC valve leak, changed a spark plug (not sure which one) too because of misfiring. I also just changed the thermostat housing and the nearby hoses last week because of the leak.

Like i said, my car is a gift that is forever giving...

Do not run Autolites in a GM.

Do not run platinums in a turbo engine.

The OEM plugs are AC Delco (rebranded NGK Iridium) 41-121. NGK Ruthenium plugs also work well in the 1.4T.

Change them all. Spark plugs are relatively cheap, and a misfire destroying a catalytic converter is not cheap.

You got your decimal in the wrong place. Gap for American 1.4s is 0.028 inches which is 0.7112 mm. I converted as the OP does not use the stupid foot as a measuring standard. 😆

According to Google the gap on plugs for the 1.6L is 0.027 - 0.031 inches which is 0.7 to 0.8 mm
