Switchblade key... alternative?

977 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  Blasirl
I just bought this car used a couple of days ago. I need to get at least one more key made. It only came with the one. I've found a couple of online sources for replacement keys including one that will cut the key based on the VIN. I'm just wondering if there's an alternative to the switchblade design. I really don't like it. I prefer a typical 4-button fob with a key on a ring.

Any suggestions?

This is one example of the key only option. You can use your switch blade key as a fob and use this key to start the vehicle. As far as finding a separate remote to work - I have no idea. I had my key cut at my dealership for about$2.50.
