Hey everyone, I feel like the top complainer, and all these issues probably makes it seem like I just like to find things that are wrong. But I just can't believe the bad luck I am having. I will copy my FB post here (edited a bit so it is more clear):

I am having the worst experience with this new car so far. The car is awesome, but the universe must be telling me that I shouldn't have gotten it.

First the flat in the middle of nowhere. Then the finance guy who lied to me. It all took so much time to deal with. I was so relieved to finally get the tired replaced today and just move on.

Well, I went to Bradley Chevrolet to drop it off this morning - just to have new tire put on. I should have taken a picture of the tire/rim while it was sitting in the trunk and ask the service guy to be in the picture.

And I especially should have done that when I saw the service guy who used to work at Nissan. I didn't give him a glowing review on one survey (back when I was taking SUV to tjem for regular service) because he was rude when he took in my Pathfinder. Now the guy works at Bradley and I should have just turned around and left when I saw him and took it as a bad sign.

As I was about to pay, my husband runs in and says, "Tammy there is a pretty nice size gouge in the rim."

Sure enough, my feelings of apprehension should have told me to not even drop it off.

I showed the service manager pictures of the tire after I got the flat. He pretty much told me that I caused it by driving on it. My husband checked it over a million times before he set the rim in trunk (before i took it Bradley Chevrolet) and the damage wasn't there.

They even noted it was gouged on service paperwork and one of the guys lied and said he saw it before they took it out of the trunk.

They only charged me for the tire, but I should have just flat out refused to pay.

So mad!

I was picking it up on my lunch break, so I had to get back to work. After work I went back with my husband again and talked to the Sales Manager (because he is over the service guy at Bradley). He said he will "investigate" and get back to me tomorrow. He didn't even look at my pictures. I had a picture that I took of the entire rim with the flat tire just moments after I pulled over.

The damage in those pictures can't be caused by driving on a flat tire. Rim damage from driving on a flat will be at the outer edge of the rim - your damage is where the rim was picked up improperly.

This is really starting to suck. On Star just sent a message that psi is down to 24. Does that mean the rim was bad to begin with? I mean, those gouges on the rim definitely happened at Bradley Chevrolet. But something was wrong to make the tire flat in first place.

Tammy, I bought out of state from Bradley in Lake Havasu and found them to be the worst Dealership I've ever experienced, you thought AutoNation was bad. My brand new Cruze failed on the drive home which eliminated that Brand New Car excitement. My Sales Manager lived in my California town and drove it back to be fixed. 2 days later after various cheap salesmen cologne scents it eliminated my factory new car smell. I found a closer dealer (Findlay) that has exceeded my expectations over the last 3.5 years, possibly the best service (at least under the B to B) I have ever experienced. Also somehow the Cruze got better as time went on believe it or not, its been almost flawless! Did you get your $5000 back? Don't buy the Warranty at Bradley either, they tried to rip me off as well and I returned it and bought the same Contract for 50% less at Findlay because they hated Bradley!

That sounds like you put a spare on so how are they accusing you of driving on a flat? They made it sound like you drove for hours on a flat.

Those gouges look like they were caused by the machine that is used to remove the tire from the rim. They are supposed to place a protector over the rim. The scratches are in a perfect circle in the exact place where the metal plate holds the rim to the machine.

Since they are obviously a dishonest dealership, it's going to be extremely hard to get them to pay for it or repair it. You would need to have proof that it was caused by them. I recommend that you never go back to that dealership again, and make sure you let everyone know about your experience. You could post a review on Yelp, but they don't seem to help much. For some strange reason, people continue going to dealerships with bad reviews instead of letting them go out of business. And, GM will do nothing to help you either. They seem to be OK with bad dealerships using their name.

Yes, that is exactly what they are saying. Then they tried to say that maybe the roadside service guy who put the spare on did it. I felt like a broken record saying that we inspected it closely in the light the next day and the rim wasn't damaged.

Is the Findlay you went to in Kingman?

Their word against yours. I don't see this battle working out in your favor.

The tire machine probably grips the edge of the rim.
But the balancer has a spin-on clamp about the diameter of the nicks in the spokes.

Anybody who can look at that and blame the driver is just being dishonest. The best I could manage in their shoes would be 'sorry, our balancer does that'.

Unfortunately in Lake Havasu, AZ the nearest alternative Chevy/GM dealer is 45 miles away in Parker, AZ (same owner, Bradley Chevrolet). Next closest one is about 60 miles away in Kingman or Bullhead City.

My service experience with the Parker store earlier this year was much better, although I did have an issue with their limitations on loaner vehicle (local miles only).

Tammy-

There's a GM Factory customer service rep on the forum. It sounds like it's time to PM them with your contact information and vehicle VIN, and have them contact this shady dealer.

Dealerships need to be held accountable, and if that's what GM Customer Care direct is for, concerns that can not be addressed directly with the dealer.

I thought they had their own part of the forum and may have been a sponsor for a little while.

One thing you might want to consider is filing a complaint with your state's Attorney General's office of consumer affairs. If they get enough complaints they will investigate the dealership. Having the AG office breathing down your neck is the one thing that dealership owner doesn't want.

If I can figure out how to post the audio from my phone conversation with the dealership manager - and know that I wouldn't be violating any privacy laws- I would totally let you guys listen.

Someone on a FB forum told me that it looks like they didnt replace the valve stem when they put on the new tire. Apparently, that's standard. If it's the original valve stem, that may have been the source of the original air leak. That makes me feel better because I was worried it was a worse issue.

I think I mentioned that the other tires were going low as well. Well, the PSI numbers went back up. I'm told those sensors can be affected by the weather...like a change in outside pressure, I guess.

So, I spoke with the manager and he said he will look at the valve stem and replace it, if that's what it needs. He said he has a person who repairs rims and it would be a $45-$65 charge to me.

He said that the repair order was noted and signed by me, indicating there was rim damage already.

I said whatever I signed was signed BEFORE anyone at the dealership even looked at the tire. I was told that I was signing the paper that gives them permission to do the work. It wasn't until we noticed the rim damage, and had been talking to a service manager for several minutes, that any kind of "acknowledgment of prior damage" form was presented. The service guy disappeared during the argument with his manager, came back, and magically had that form.

I just can't believe someone would do that!

The dealership manager went on about how he doesn't doubt the integrity of his employees and that if they make mistakes they are honest about it.

In the end, he said he would pay to have the rim fixed, but he wouldn't replace the rim.

I REALLY don't want to have them touch my car again, but at this point I think it's my only option.

Thanks for reading about my car drama!

Do you have any other GM dealerships not owned by this same crook? If so, take your car there.
