Every time I turn on the ignition in my 2012 Cruze, I receive a text message on my phone asking if I want to allow diagnostic updates. How do I disable this feature but retain the bluetooth calling capability?

I believe that's OnStar pinging you. You can disable diagnostics through their website.

allezCruze,
I would suggest that you contact OnStar at 888-466-7827. They will be able to assist you further with this issue. If you have any other questions, comments or concerns please feel free to contact me.
Thank you,
