Throttle valve

I know there’s a lot of throttle valve and egr threads out there but never found what I was looking for. Plan on taking my valve out to give her a cleaning, but has anyone gotten rid of the actual blade in the Throttle valve? I know in my past duramaxs when the emissions would fall off I could delete it completely.

Curious as to why you would want to remove it?

I guess just to make easier to clean and less area to get caked up in the future

I'm guessing it would throw a code. Could be wrong but the motor would keep spinning maybe?? I believe it is a limit switch.

Either way pics and mileage of yours would be appreciated.
230k on the clock. Had never cleaned it.

Wasn't nearly as bad as I was thinking it would be.

I was thinking the same. Was gonna take out the blade since it’s disconnected anyway but couldn’t figure out the size of the bolts, seem to be between t10-t15. Unless it’s a diff type of bolt.
