So I'm trying to replace the wiper transmission linkage assembly on our Cruze and from what I gathered last night a number of people on this forum have had the same issue. I picked up the part today and started taking the old one out. The bolts and nut all came out easy enough but I can't seem to get the lever that's connected to the wiper motor to come off. I've tried wiggling it with pliers and, while I didn't go too crazy with it since I dont want to damage the rubber piece below it, I even tried prying at it a bit. I cant get the darn thing off though. Any tips on getting it off of there? Picture below to show what I'm talking about. I've broken off the rest of the linkage assembly to get it out of the way since it's trashed anyways. Thanks in advance http://imgur.com/hVq6sLe

There are pullers intended for the dual applications of battery terminals and windshield wipers.

Looking at your pic, I'd say one of them should do the trick.

If you can get one as a loaner, that would be great. But, even if you have to shell out 7 bucks for the one, if it gets you over the hump, it's 7 bucks well spent.

HTH.
