Great information! One part does have me confused tho...
Is it saying that if filling from empty, you need to make sure there is enough fluid in it to drip out of the level plug (at 20-25 degrees/ room temp), but once you actually level the fluid, you need to be checking at 85-95 degrees to get the proper level?
(Note: Ensure the transmission has enough fluid in it to safely start the vehicle without damaging the transmission. With the vehicle off and the transmission fluid temperature at approximately 20–25°C (68–77°F) there must be at least enough fluid to drain out of the fluid level hole. This will ensure that there is enough fluid in the sump to fill the components once the vehicle is started. )
I imagine if it's at the correct level and not heated up to 85 degrees, the ATF would not drip out of the level plug normally.
Do they word it this way to prevent you from turning on the car before you have fluid in the vehicle?
