I recently bought a 2012 chevy cruze from auction for my daughter. I think I have opened up pandoras box with this car. Once I purchased car I realized it was the horrible designed 1.4l turbo. Instantly I inspected valve cover and intake. Of course I had to replace them both. Once replaced the turbo actually started functioning but screaming at same time. I instantly shut car down and inspected oil feed line. Feed line was clogged, so I replaced. Started car up and instantly dumped 2 qts of oil on the ground. Took apart car enough to access oil return line which was melted apart. But now under further inspection the turbo is trashed. Now I'm on the hunt for a new turbo. Any suggestions on brands or brands to stay clear from? Several options online and I'd hate to buy a product that will just fail after a short time.
