This just popped up today. Brakes seem to be working fine, except for you when you push down on the brakes quickly there is a slight grinding like noise. I should also mention I hear a clicking noise when I push my brake pedal to a certain point, as well as when I release it back off. I couldn't find anything that made sense to me on the C0299 code. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

I would look for a bad connection at the wheel sensors to start.

The grinding noise is probably the ABS on startup doing it's own diagnostic.
