Update Mirrors

I am thinking about updating my 2017 LS mirrors to include lane departure and turn signals. Will this be a simple plug and play, or will I need to go to the dealer to get the electronics to behave properly? I ask because I just installed a new steering wheel and want to know if I should just wait to take the car in for re flashing after I've installed new mirrors.

You want the blind spot monitoring feature? Lane departure is a whole different system based on a camera in the rear view mirror. Blind spot monitoring is a different module in the rear bumper of the car.

Turn signals in the front of the mirrors may be a simple wire connection, or it may be a body control module thing - not sure.
I'm sorry, yes blind spot, not lane departure

There would definitely be reprogramming involved, if they can add it on at all. I'm not sure if the wiring harness is already there for the module(s) in the rear of the car on cars that didn't come with it from the factory.

If it's like Gen 1, even if you had it and broke a sensor you had to have dealer program the new one(s) in.
Welcome Aboard!:welcome:

If you can't find the answer here, you'll find a new mod in a matter of moments to take its place!
