Upgrading HU Question

So I've bought and installed my aftermarket HU. Everything works on that but I'm not sure where to splice in the swc module (PAC SWI-CP5 Steering Wheel Control Adapter) the instructions weren't very clear.
I'm also using the Axxess LC-GMRC-044 Wiring Interface for the HU. Does this harness allow me to still use the lcd screen? It's currently not working, I'm assuming I've wired something wrong.

Since the upgrade my AM reception is terrible, any ideas as to what be causing that?
