Below is a link to an article that contains information and an Autocad rendering animation of the assembly of the new 2016 Ecotec's. Probably a 1.4 or 1.5L. This discusses the new 1.4L Ecotec and it's development for the 2014 China Cruze. All the written specs with aluminum blocks seem to confirm that this is the engine coming to the North American 2016 Cruze when it gets here.

There's also a video of the engine dyno that's set up to tilt the engine during operation to check oil pressure. That video's pretty neat. It has sound. Sounds like their reving pretty hard, while tilting the engine through some pretty extreme angles.

Supra is a six cylinder, have to buy spark plugs four in a box, have two left over, with that 3 cylinder, would only have one left over.

Not sure if I every want another rubber band driven camshafts engine again.

Some guy in the comments sections moaning about losing money in GM stocks and about time they are starting to do something good.

When the Japanese were using cast aluminum camshaft covers and crankcases, GM was still using tin.

This information and website has been posted here before. This news article is 2 years old. Really interested in the new cruze, should be no time now until we have some new road tests. Last I heard Lordstown was already making the new model.
