I paid on March 20th and so far no fin delivered.

27 days since receipt of my payment. If not received by the day 43 will be filing a dispute with Paypal.

He originally said 1-2 weeks and I think we've all been very patient.

Here's his post on 3/27

VG has all your orders, they paint by color group, some may be a week, some 2 weeks, some in the middle. When they ship them, everyone will get a tracking number.

This is totally not acceptable and at this point I'll prob not wait until day 43 but will file a paypal claim much sooner.

If Steve would have said about 1 month, I think we all would have understood, but don't tell us 1-2 weeks and then take close to a month or more.

Waiting until this weekend to install. Assuming the rain stops and the weather warms up.

You know how one someone says that they're not complaining, they really are.

Well, they said 1-2 weeks and a tracking number. Mine took 33 days from when payment was received and no tracking number as promised.

If you can't deliver on your promise, then don't promise.

I unscrewed the rod thinking there would be another screw to remove the base, but no.

How do you remove the existing antenna?

You dont. It is basically a cover. The only thing you do is screw down that black wire to the base with the provided screw, then stick it down in the proper position. That is all. Read your directions man!!!

Directions!!! "We don't need no stinkin directions".

Had the Mrs. come out to line it up for me and it's up and running.

Great news.....Had the Cruze on a dyno after the install. Added 10 hp and 2 more mpg. Sweet!

Sorry to say that while the shark fin looks great, the radio reception is not the same quality as the factory antenna. Unfort, since the shark fin is held down by 3m tape there's no going back.

Rip it off and use goo gone to remove the adhesive. Then just re-sell the shark fin

Might not be a bad idea, but I'd be afraid of taking paint off also.

Also have to take into consideration that the Cruze is Victory Red.....prob the rarest of the colors for a Cruze.

Interesting with those not having a good fit. Mine did fit properly with no problems.

I wonder how is that since the cars are the same and the mold for the fin should also be the same.

For some reason my reception isn't good and alot worse when it rains. Is there something I can do to make it better (meaning removing it and adding inside something metal to improve it)?

If not I'm really thinking of just taking it off and screwing back on the factory antenna.

Well, after waiting almost another month I just couldn't take the bad radio reception anymore. Picked up something called Krudkutter (like Goo Gone) and removed the shark fin antenna. Screwed the original back in and great reception.

Even though I think the shark fin looks much better than the factory antenna it was driving me crazy.

I'll post in the classifieds if anyone wants a shark fin in Victory Red.
