So my cruze is a 2013 LS and I want to add a sub in the trunk. On my previous car, a 2001 Kia spectra hatch, I added 2 12" subs in a huge box, but I had to get a new radio. I was wondering if anyone could answer my questions about adding subs to the cruze.

I dont want to have to get a new radio. I want to keep the stock radio. So my first question is can I add subs and keep the stock radio?
I know that my radio doesnt have any extra audio out ports on the back, so I was going to use this: https://www.amazon.com/PAC-SNI-35-V...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=FNS1SEHZTBMZEBACJS30
Would that work?

Secondly, I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on my choice of subs that I want to add. Which are these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001J1XWZ4/?coliid=I1WAVUYJO4W5AP&colid=EDF4HD29A543&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
Any thoughts?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Those subs/amp are trash

No need for a converter with this lil guy

https://www.amazon.com/AudioControl...ords=lc2i&qid=1552000820&s=electronics&sr=1-3

If you want affordable subs, get a Skar IX model....will pair up nice with that amp.

If you want to run some other amp, get this guy..no need to cut or splice anything

https://www.amazon.com/PAC-AA-GM44-Amplifier-Integration-Interface/dp/B004M4WHHE

So if I got these Skar subs:
https://www.skaraudio.com/products/ix10d4-2x10vented-rp350-ssk8

I would only need to get this:
https://www.amazon.com/PAC-AA-GM44-Amplifier-Integration-Interface/dp/B004M4WHHE

Am I understanding what you said correctly? Also does that amp integration thing add sub controls to the stock radio settings?

I was just reading reviews on the PAC and most people said they were adding it with the MyLink touchscreen radio. Will it still work even though I don't have the touch screen? I just have the lowest level little display. Thanks again!

That skar combo should be good. I have an IX-10 in my wife's car and its been a solid lil sub.

If your LS is the same as my LT, it will work. Easy way to check is to pop the radio out and look behind the radio for that big 44 pin connector...should be there. If you do see it, all you need is the skar combo and that AA-GM44. The GM44 doesn't give you a "bass knob." That will come from your amp, which skar includes with that kit you linked.

Thanks for the info! I linked the 10” kit but after I posted that comment I looked a little more and saw that the 12” one was only $10 more. So I’m probably going to go with that. And I did pop the radio out yesterday. It’s got that big plug. So the audio thing will work! Thanks again. Now all I gotta do is wait for the fiancés approval, haha.

I have 3 skar ix10's on a skar rp800 sounds great and this is their low end stuff. I have it hooked up to my factory radio thru an Audio Control LC2i convertor. It all cost just under 500 bucks.

Not sure how much UMPHHHHH your looking for but I have this sub. It gives a really nice balance of Bass without being like a 17 year old waking the neighborhood. PLUS it doesnt take up much space at all. I have it on the trunk floor behind the seat.

I love it. Install was super easy.
Ran power to trunk.
Grounded to sheet metal with self tapper behind plastic in trunk.
Tapped into speaker wire in B Pillar.
Ran Remote into center council for a clean out of the way look.
