since the winter months I have noticed a pool of water under my Chevrolet cruze 2.0ltr diesel (never noticed in the summer) after looking there seems to be a drain pipe roughly centre of car
my air con has been off as thought it was that at first have no loss of fluids
any ideas

I'm unsure on that and will have a look but find it strange it seems to happen if had heating on but as stated no aircon

While you may not have commanded the A/C to be on, it may be on nevertheless. I'm sure it's on during defrost. Others have reported that it's on if the heater is set to floor vents. It's to dehumidify the air.

It reached 100F here today and I got the same puddle. Pretty much all cars get it here on these hot humid days. In winter the car uses the heater and a/c together if you have automatic a/c. I just set mine to 23C and leave it all year round. It never gets below 0C here though.
