I own 2010 Cruze Diesel made in Korea for EU market. It came with stock fog lights pre-installed. Recently I removed front bumper and I noticed there are two cables comming to the left fog light body. One will go straight into the H8 bulb. Other one however is not connected at all and is plugged into something like a plastic tap (guess to protect pins from corosion). Any idea what's the purpose of this cable? As usual I forgot to take pics but I am going to remove bumper again real soon and I will take some. Appreciate any assumptions you may have.

I'm guessing that it is the exterior ambient air temperature sensor.

I would also guess it's the outside thermometer.

Could be, yeah. But I though it is hidden somewhere in one of the side mirrors.
Nope - look at the fog light bezel. The one on the left has a "plugged hole". This is the temperature sensor.
