What cars do you think are in the worst made?

I was looking up a old Potato Chip Company "Mike Sells" this morning, I remember them but haven't seen recently and while looking thru the demise, there was a link about the worst cars so I had to see if the Cruze made the list. While GM had several in the list, the Cruze wasn't there ! I am sure there are a bunch you would say no surprise if you remember them but others you may say yes ? : Like the Chevy SSR,
Citation,
Vega,
Along with several Corvettes
Cadillac Fleetwood and Cimarron
Pontiac Aztek
Lincoln Blackwood V (their attempt to make trucks)
Along with several Ford Attempts on recreating Past Fame with the Mustang and who could forget the Pinto
And of course the AMC Pacer

Anything GM made back in the mid-70s to mid-90s. If it wasnt body fitment or cheap materials used, it was terribly bad drivetrains. Ford, Chrysler were just as bad, if not worse.

Tesla.... I have seen so many, brand new of the floor with crooked gaps and body lines. Embarrassing for their price point.

Looking back on the link: seeing a 6 wheeled car Covini 6W at $640,000. No wonder I have never seen one! But the 6 wheels could supposedly handle better Maybe they have better roads in Italy to drive it in? The Plymouth Prowler wondering how it would turn with the front wheel fenders along with the Dubai Based Devel Sixteen that I am sure is a "Devil" as it could reach 350 MPH
All in all I am happy staying with my Cruzes. Thus I am on #10!
Pontiac Aztek
That thing was as ugly as the head of my dick, but everyone I've ever known who actually had one said it was a great vehicle.
Modern BMW, Mercedes-Benz , Mini-Cooper, Porsche, Range Rover, etc
I was happy with my Vega
The citation wasn't a bad car.
I'd think the chevette would be gm's worst car. Followed by the 2.4L quad motor. I'm surprised the first gen cruze didn't follow the same demise.

The Ford Taurus was the biggest pos. Followed by the redesigned mustang on a pinto chassis. The escort. And the ranger co built with Mazda. But Ford in general. Their engineering and design has always been the worst.

Plymouth horizon and dodge omni were the same cars.

AMC in general.
Truthfully, it comes down to what you have/had at what time. I mean I had/drove a AMC Concord station wagon/AMC Hornet when I was late teens as per my parents. To me at the time, I "had a car"!!!! didn't really matter to me I mean I tinted the windows, put Cragar Street Pro(cheap Keystone Classic look alike) rims with white letter tires on it Jacked it up. Looking back on it now, I think "duh" but as I said I had a car!!!!!!!! a friend of mine had a 71 Ford Torino bought for $35 from a uncle that wanted to get rid of it. We called it the "spotted calf" due to the Bondo and primer on it.

We always wondered who made the engine and tranny in my Concord since AMC was not a "real" auto manufacturer and didn't make their own engines/transmissions. No one at the time new anything about the 258 straight 6 in it. I mean the oil filter was a PF25 also used in a non Chevy GM cars at the time! and the spark plugs were not Chevy 5/8 plugs so? And we presumed the tranny was a "Ford" tranny.

Overall it ran well but from a design stand point! ?

So yes I agree AMC in general. But at the time "I had a car"!!! As long as it wasn't "in the shop" which it wasn't after we had AAMCO rebuild the tranny. I used to change oil/plugs air filters and the old PCV valve and filters and lube the suspension. I am not trying to defend the car just the idea of "I had a car"

I Don't think anyone can say the quality of yugo. No one knows how long they could last. The cars were cheap enough that once the timing belt broke. The car went to the scrap yard.

I seen one driving down the highway last year. BTW.

The Hyundai accent. When it first came around late 80s. We're famous for breaking jet valves. They were also carbed. 90 saw fuel injection and no jet valve.
Forgot all about the Yugo, I don't think I ever saw one on the road where I live. So couldn't say anything about the quality. As far as the Hyundai, I just remember a dealer that sold just about all car brands saying We have Chevys Buicks Pontiacs and the brand new Hi Un day( it was the way he pronounced it)!! Nothing about the quality/dependability!

I had a 1989 Hyundai Excel GS. 5 speed manual transmission. The transmission was a faulty POS design. Nothing but shifting problems. 1989 last year for carburetors. Top speed 82 mph. Car would without notice just shut off completely liked I pulled the battery cable off. Short time later it would power itself back up and I was on my way. Never figured it out. The engine was an oil burner. Worst automobile I've ever owned.

I've noticed many people STILL pronounce it that way! I tell them "Hyundai rhymes with Sunday."

I knew this thread I started would raise some discussion but wow! All the thoughts/ideas/opinions about cars. I was looking at the Yugo sale note above and how it separated every little detail out MFG suggested price for the base car then trans and if it was cheap enough it had to be an manual (not one of them automatics ) and if you had real nerve and lots of money you got that stuff like a radio( is it just am or AM/FM), air conditioning and/or power windows Everything was an itemized list of options! Not like today where the LS doesn't have Cruise Control but most all the other ones do!!!!! Way back when, People would go from dealer to dealer to find who charged the least for each item on the window sticker the cheapest price Eg well he charged $350 for that radio it must be an AM FM because he only charged 200 for his unless it is an AM only.
And then the transmission or air conditioning(anything other than that manual tranny) had to be special order that automatic must be xtra!!!

Brought back ideas of warehouses with all these AM radios and all the AM/FMs being sold out
or transmissions(everyone wanted an automatic but no one wanted a manual this year wonder can you use a 2011 auto in a 2015 much less the clutch pedal or they weren't the same )
then all these people that don't need air conditioning
You get the idea
