I've heard of the cruze years ago but shrugged it off. I thought it was a gasoline Volt.

So I'm a regular reader of autoblog and autoblog green. on ABG a few weeks ago read "42 mpg" (for the ECO) I was like no f'n way. Then i read further and saw "6 speed manual" then I fell in love.

I got so impressed with the car. The styling, the interior (which I feel american cars are terrible at). I dunno how I missed this car. Mabye I didn't bother giving it a chance because it was "american" or something. This car really is GM proving they deserve the bailout money.

How bout you guys? What features about the cruze caught your attention?

Top Feature of the Cruze?

IMO it is Fuel Economy. Next, buying "American" and being able to get, for the first time (GM), a high quality and well equipped compact/mid-size car :). We're trading in a fully equipped Buick Lucerne CSX, a wonderful full size sedan that averages about 22 mpg. (Northstar V-8). Being able to get the Cruze equipped with nearly all the same options as our Buick is another reason we were drawn to it. Keep Cruze'in

To be honest I saw a commercial with the Cruze and it caught my attention a bit then I sort of forgot about it. Saw the same commercial again and then remembered it and saw the car at a dealer....instant love again.

The standard safety features caught my attention. With its standard ABS, stabilitrac, onstar, and 10 airbags I was sold. The other cars I was shopping either had this as options or wasn't even available.

6 speed transmission. I told myself I would never buy a 4 cylinder with an automatic, but the 6 speed auto seems to keep the little engine in its powerband for most occasions.

I bought mine because it's basically a mid-size, uplevel car packed into the size of a compact. The interior and features blow away the other makes I test drove, even the base model LS is way better than the premium-models offered by others. Handling and stability are very solid, and the car just feels really sturdy. And the low MPGs were a big help.

Also: after I saw the iPhone app, yeah that kinda sealed the deal. :)

The front end! So aggresive looking. Even though its a fuel miser it has a " get out of my way " attitude. Then the interior! Oh wow! Then its quietness on the highway, then............................lol
Yea I like hte front grill too. I felt the two-grill style didn't looked weird on the malibu or the aveo but the way it's done on the cruze is stylish.

The body of the car.
Turbo. (my first turbo ever)
Fuel efficiency.
Great handling.
Great braking.
Traction control and Stabilitrak (my first with these, should be great in the snow and ice)
10 Airbags including knee bags. I've met 2 people so far that are still in physical therapy and have to wear knee braces for busted knees. Both women too. Women drivers eh? SHhhh don't tell anyone I said that. I'm only kidding ladies ;-)
Power everything (also first for me)
Nice interior. And quiet too. No more having to blast the stereo to drown out the road and wind noise. My old car had worn out door seals you DO NOT want to hear that on the highway lol.
4 wheel disc brakes on 17" wheels. Looks niice. Also I've always done my own maintenance on my cars and you DO NOT want to deal with drum brakes. Trust me. Disc brakes are sooo much easier to change.
