What is the best tune?

I would love the best tune for the 1.4L turbo. The trifecta is $300 giving you a bunch of options and increased power. The BNR is about $500 with the Autocal. Is there anything wrong with the trifecta ? I just hear some people say it?s junk and I wouldn?t want to throw down money for either one if that?s the case

My question is were dealing with 180hp 4 cylinder cars. Is it really worth it to to for such a minimum amount. I can see if you are tuning a v8 mustang or camero but a cruze seems unreasonable and not worth the 300 or 500
False,

Literally either tune on this platform is night and day but the options between the 2 differ a bit. You do any hard parts outside of an intake you need a tune or you will make your car slower than stock. If your end goal is to run down current gen Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, Type R, GTI, FiST, FoST, FoRS, STi, EVO or something of that 0-60 0-120 1/8 & 1/4 times then yes a tune alone isn't ideal.

I have tuned several of my cars with Trifecta. I have also used other tuners software. I find the Trifecta to be my best bang for the buck.
It is easy to install as well. I have had excellent service from them when asking for help with any of my tunes.
The tune helps with the car's performance and I like the fact that I can turn off the auto stop feature or have it disabled. My MPG has not suffered from the tune. I do run 91 or better because of the tune.
I also run full synthetic oil as well. My car is stock other than the tune , but the tune is quite apparent.
Who were the others besides BNR, Overkill ,ZZP and V Tuners?

I have used IPF tunes and handheld like Diablo Trinity ( for my older Suburban). The Trifecta has been the best for me as far as being easy to place tune and remove if needed quickly. I have tuned Sonics, Cruzes, Solstices, Newer Impalas, Cadillac ATS as well. The IPF Tunes I used were for our Camaros. Mainly V-6 models. Also was like download vehicle info to module, then back to PC to get tune then back to vehicle to install the tune. And I had and IPF module that failed as well.
I just find those to be a bit cumbersome with the added modules and cables. The Trinity is a nice setup but almost double the price, but has some features that are customizable like trans shift points and if you are changing tire sizes. Just not for me as I like simple mostly. Plus Trinity is pricey when compared to some other solutions. I have not used the BNR handhelds but some of my friends have and seem to like them. I have bought a few items from BNR including my first Trifecta tune several years ago. With the Trifecta tune I just kinda get it and go as I am not planning on a bunch of mods other than the tune.
That pretty much sounds like my Marauder when I had a Lidio Tuned SCT X cal 2. Shift mph, shift pressure, revs per mile and timing. If you get a chance, find a BNR tuned Cruze. I was semi going to convert like the rest but I was more geared towards ditching the car than re tune.

I am pretty sure Eric has both tunes Trifecta and BNR. I watched his 0-60 on youtube but I will stick with the Trifecta for now. The tune for my 2017 was @ 349 so not as much as the BNR tune and is why I went that way for the canned tune.
My next project is to get this JBL pro slim sub mounted hopefully this weekend.
IIRC tunes were both 1 manual hatch and 1 auto sedan?

I totally agree with using a tune if you're running stuff under the hood or if you're taking off cats or so on. But from a tune standpoint as a tune just by itself for the price to me it's hard to justify that it's worth it.
It's still night and day for what you get. It's not like the GM tune that they tried to pass off with the performance exhaust package. You have to find a tuned Cruze to experience it for yourself. If your intent is like the rest of the folks who simply got the car to keep miles off the project car or you live where its heavy traffic then you may not justify it as much as the guy with 1 car and clear open space to do stuff "responsibly"

You take the tune off to go in for service, its like the most saddest trip to and from the dealership. Lol it's that big of a difference. OEM tune sandbags a lot and switches back and forth from the 87 and 91 fuel map inconstantly even if you have 93 in the tank.
