Hey guys,

This morning I had an appointment with my dealer to get a recall repair done. I went out and started the car to begin driving there, and was greeted with this wonderful noise coming from the engine:

What in the world is that noise??!?! Today was the first time it has done that, and it was louder in person. This sound only happened at idle, and if you give it a little gas (1200 rpm) it would go away. When I drove to the dealer and the engine warmed up to normal operating temperature there was no sound at all.

If this thing keeps acting up it's going bye-bye. First the license plate lights/trunk button, then a possible leak, then this....all within the first two months of ownership. Not a happy camper right now.

Well, I took it to the dealer and they want to keep it overnight, they have no idea what's going on and they can't replicate it. They supposedly can't give me a loaner because I'm 19, so I got no ride to college and work tomorrow which is ridiculous.

Thought buying a newer car would've kept this from happening, but guess not.

Yeah, I was pretty bent. I figure if I am allowed to serve my country and vote, I should be allowed to get a darn loaner. Sheesh.

The dealer replaced the water pump. 32k miles and it's already leaking. Unbelievable.

They're thinking that was part of the rattle maybe?

Not a happy camper.

Dad is blaming the water pump failure on the remote start and me using it all the time. I think he's wrong...but replies are welcomed so I can prove it.
