Almost every issue in every thread for the CTD is emission related. Countless members having DPF/DEF/EGR/Exhaust sensor issues. Who will step up to the plate with a tune and exhaust system? I know multiple performance companies post here and also sponsor this site. Please, for the love of humanity help us out! GM makes the best diesel truck motor available and ive never had any issues with my 07.5 newer trucks after deletes. Please save us from the EPA!!!!!

America is breathing easier due to President Bush's historic investment in clean energy," said EPA Administrator Stephen L. Johnson. "Drastically cutting the emissions that cause soot and smog, EPA is delivering the American people cleaner engines, cleaner air and cleaner lungs

I think you are asking the wrong question.
It should be why cant GM make a diesel that has emissions that exceed EPA regulations and have no issues.
or
Why cant they make a diesel/gas motor that exceeds EPA regulations without interferring with exhaust gasses

The EPA was proposed by president Richard Nixon and began operation after Nixon signed an executive order

ive been driving semis since 99....04 was a cluster, 07 was a cluster and on and on

each change in technology took awhile to improve, not yet master

then you take a first year model car with this stuff....supply chain issues, training issues, owner ignorance...its gone better than it couldve, realistically....but thats easy to say as an owner with zero issues so far.

Liberal by definition is one who says there is a better way, a conservatism is more like one that says, give me that old time religion. Also one that spends their money wisely.

Still can't get a good definition of how these two words are use in politics. But I feel more applicable words would be honest or crooks.

We just one stupid question, how can even an honest person get elected without selling their soul first?

Keep on getting emails from I don't even know from who, hitting unsubscribe sure doesn't work. Stuff like the Koch brothers are planning on spending a billion dollars for the next election, would you please donate five bucks so we can fight this?

Simple math tells me they would need these donations from at least 200 million people just to equal this amount. The fight is money against money. Not what is right or wrong. What about that six bucks wife and I check on our income tax forms for fair elections?

Now I am hearing the young graduating from college with huge debts and only minimum way jobs are becoming socialists. We use to fight against socialism. So screwed up now, don't know if I am coming or going.

How about a government that imposes a level playing field? Won't get this from the supreme court, owned and operated by the crooked politicians that hired them. Keep on hearing about election reform, but only can be done by the crooks that like it exactly the way it is.

I don't think it is going to get better.

The EU, where all of our Passenger Car Diesels come from, has actively pursued lower CO2 vehicle emissions. Last time I checked, they were about 1/2 of our standard for CO2. But they have basically ignored NOx. Our standard is less than 1/4 of theirs.

NOx is not one of the emissions that is identified in climate change. In fact, some actually believe it contributes to global cooling. But it is pretty nasty stuff in the respiratory systems of humans. It weakens and even kills plantlife. It's highly reactive and creates smog and acid rain.

The Europeans are eventually going to catch on that they are already building these engines to US emissions specs and adapt the lower US NOx standard.

The Japanese aren't interested in playing the EPA Passenger car diesel game....And they have some pretty strict standards.

Is this true!!!

Rockefeller almost went broke when electricity took over kerosene lamps, didn't know what to do with gasoline, so just burned it. Were doing the same thing with LP gas, burning that up also, even the same thing with natural gas until they found a good use for it.

Then around in the 50's found use for all that crap at the bottom for the refineries, like plastic and asphalt. Didn't think this stuff had any BTU's left in it worth using for energy requirements. But his Japanese guy claims to have a contraption to convert ocean filled plastic back into usable energy.

Would be nice is this was true, but never know today with all of this BS being spread around.

If there is energy in that crap left in the bottom of the refineries, why haven't the oil companies learned how to extract it? Life was so much better as a kid, finding a glass bottle in the park was like finding a fresh ice cream cone or a candy bar. It my understanding that only a very small fraction of this plastic can be recycled for food use, the rest of it is laying around all over the place. Then all these plastic blister packs, takes a half a day to open them if you don't cut the end of your finger off first trying to do this. Than these plastic blister packs cost more than the crap you find inside of them. But are just tossed.

My question wasnt who does it is why not. They most definitely can and buy they I mean all. The industry paces itself so it has something slightly new each year to make people keep buying. Dont forget we are a talking about a business and large businesses at that.

Dont know why this got moved here. I dont care if the EPA mandates a poorly running diesel to save Obama's kids lungs, I just want Fleece or whoever to build a off road delete tune.

How about my lungs? I moved this thread to R&P because based on past experience I knew it would end up as a political thread.
