This morning my windshield was covered with heavy snow. So I get in my car, start it up, go outside and start removing the snow. What I didn't know was that my dad had left the wipers on at the intermittent position lowest setting. The wipers didn't move expect when I started removing some of the snow. Any chance damage was done or there is some kind of safety on the mechanism ? Wipers work fine now !

Don't worry about it. Just get on with your day.

As long as they hit the stops properly and reverse direction you're good to go. The wiper motors are pretty robust.

Yes they are working properly. And I believe the fuse would have blown before damaging the motor or the linkage...
