Method, lock handle to slowest flow rate until it clicks off, then I manually go slowly to one more click. Have done this for years.

I keep hearing about a method, I just pump the gas, could I be doing it wrong? sorry about the off topic.

good to know, I rarely fill it up, but have since I started using 93 octane, I'm on the second tank. But before I always put gas around the same level and always the same amount.
