How, other than spooling does the race pipe setup affect the exhaust volume and tone?

I've been debating a plethora of options, but can't really decide. I know I want a subtle tone that sounds Euro in performance spectrum, (think Audi, BMW) definitely don't wanna be the obnoxious guy where I live. Almost thinking just the down and mid might be what I want then maybe down the road do a custom mufflers and resonator combo.

Is there any actual exhaust volume difference? Honestly don't want to just hear the spool, a bit would be cool, but it's not a race car.

Depends on what you're wanting to run with, I think I saw you saw say you were looking at the DP/Midpipe not sure if you were wanting to run the catted version of the midpipe or not. Either way the stock muffler and resonator are pretty sound deadening but I think you'll still have a decent sound out of it.

I dont mind loud I just dont want it to be raspy you know? I wish you had a video so I could hear it.
I'll get you a video when I throw my downpipe back on this weekend with the straight pipe and stock midpipe then I'll do another video when I get my catted midpipe put on again. It's been so cold here I haven't wanted to get under the car because of all the snow and ice built up under there.

I just noticed turbo spool on my set up, maybe a slight rise in exhaust noise. I'm saving for the zzp cat back section of the exhaust for $550. I should re phrase that, at low rpm it's almost like stock except you hear the turbo spool. But when you go WOT and higher rpm the exhaust gets a little louder over the stock set up....at least to me it sounded louder.

With full catless, how loud is the spool on the stockexhaust? I hear the videos, but it's hard to reference them for volume. I thinkthat's my biggest issue, I don't want to have the spool noise ruin cruising withthe Windows down .

I am running the stock tune ATM, gonna go over to zzp in Michigan in the spring to get tuned. I noticed a good increase with the dp/mp combo on the stock tune...but not much of a difference with the intake besides the turbo being louder. Exhaust wise from the mid pipe back I'm using the stock cat back.
Do you have the stock muffler also? Or you have muffler delete?

Well like you said you can hear them on videos and they were most likely filmed with a cell phone. So my guess is yes, Ive also seen videos with this setup. But im so excited to hear spool noise!!!

Are you saying catless downpipe/midpipe together on the stock exhaust? If so depending on if you have an intake as well it will be pretty noticeable on idle but not as bad at WOT. Like I said the stock muffler and resonator are pretty quiet as is.

Will do, probably won't be ordered and put on till spring but I'll keep ya posted once the time comes. Not sure if I wanna save up for the exhaust first or wheels and tires....I hate difficult dissisions!! Lol
Could always go to an exhaust shop and have them make you one, save like 300$ and put that towards the wheels and tires :D

True, idk....just trying to make all my exhaust parts ZZP, I'm super picky and O.C.D. About all my parts matching by company lol. from what I gathered from parts pricing I should be looking at around 1,100-1,200 for rims, tires and new TPS sensors from tire rack. Idk If I wanna go with BFGoodrich or Yokahama tires....

I picked up Conti DWS tires, I see you're in Wisconsin so you're looking for all seasons I would presume or summers and they have amazing traction but just my 2c :p. I was particular about that too, but I went to an exhaust shop and they did the whole thing for 180$ so I decided to go that route and there is also a company called trubendz that KOBALT used for his exhaust that ran about 250$

Should have the BNR downpipe on either friday or saturday so I'll have a vid up soon.
