This thing is leaking AGAIN. What are the most common coolant leaks. I had the water pump done at the dealer a few months ago.
Thanks manWater outlet hose
Water outlet itself
Reservoir
Water pump
Thermostat housing on 1.8
Turbo lines on 1.4
Well the waterpump was already replaced. I wonder how much it would cost to just do all of the listed common leaks as a preventative. I looked up the water outlet and the revervoir On gmparts direct the stuff seems pretty cheap I just cant find the turbo lines. Id rather fix it all now then have to do it at another time down the road.Oil cooler? Least for the 1.8l
How you define your "leaking"? Do you see any stains on the garage floor on a particula side or..?This thing is leaking AGAIN. What are the most common coolant leaks. I had the water pump done at the dealer a few months ago.
I don't know exactly where it's leaking from but the coolant reservoir was almost empty and yes there is spots where I park. How you define your "leaking"? Do you see any stains on the garage floor on a particula side or..?
Other issue not mentioned is that due to the OEM thermostat for 1.4 (Gen1) you may boil the coolant without even knowing it. I had this issue on all my Cruze and see below my fix:
1.4 ECO - Thermostat Swap - 221°F to 176°F! | Chevrolet Cruze Forums (cruzetalk.com)
Im dropping it off wedsday afternoon to have it fixed on thursday. Ill report back with the findings. It's not a massive leak but it does leave spots and the coolant resevoir is going down a tiny bit. I just dont want the car to leak anything.Did you get this figured out?
