Hey out there. Got a 2013 1.8 ltr. Ls. Whenever sitting idling, and I put it in drive or reverse, I hear a rattling noise. Thought it was the coil pack cover loose but not that. Anybody had the same issue? Thanks.

Yes sir, it doesn't make noise when driving down the road. Only when sitting still idling.
look for a hose or AC pipe that has come out of a retaining clip that vibrates. Take precautions like a helper to stand on the brake, or setting the parking brake or chocking the wheels, but you may be able to isolate it with the car in gear and listening around under the hood.

My Gen 2 had a specific one where it was placed in drive with the AC compressor on, and the heater core pipe was vibrating against the firewall.

Was checking that noise today and noticed the idler pulley vibrating to the tune of rattling noise. I take it out of gear and it smoothes out, no noise. In drive accelerating down the road, no noise. Still stumped.

I have the 1.4 but it might be the same on the 1.8, I had noise coming on idle as well I thought it was the exhaust but there are brake lines and maybe gas lines that are right against the firewall turns out they were vibrating against the firewall I gave them a tug away from the firewall and stuffed some rubber piece I found between the lines and the firewall and the noise immediately went away and has never returned.
