So I just went and got my 14 cruze diesel emmisions done and it says some things are not ready I jist replaced my particulate matter sensor and glow plugs as those were why my cel was on anyone got any ideas how long it will take for the car to test these and pass them off I have till the 9th to get it done as I only had a temp registration

When you reset codes via OBD or you wipe codes by unplugging the battery, the engine runs through a lot of self-check tests as you are driving. Those take some time to complete. If you take a car for emissions testing, the report to the computer will say "not ready" and that's to tell the testing station that someone might have just reset a bunch of codes to try to get a vehicle to pass emissions when they know the CEL is on for some emissions fault.

You should take the car out for a drive of an hour or a little longer. Run it through city driving to warm it up and then do a good, steady highway drive of at least 30 minutes or maybe 45. Take it on an interstate for about 20 miles and then double back to your home. Doing that will give the car enough drive time to test everything it can do.

I drove it for about an hour driving from one end the city to the other and than the freeway for about 30 minutes going a little farther before turning back. What does it mean if some of the tests still haven't finished the nox after treatment is done but still have the others as not ready using the gretio app and the obdlink to check it

And they don't say failed just haven't finished I guess and does it need to regen for the pm filter?

First a disclaimer, I don't have a diesel. When it comes to the systems not being ready, they just need to go through the "drive cycles" To my knowledge, the only way to to that is by driving. My car will ready most of the codes after a couple drives. But the last system might take a week to ready up.

I know there are very specific drives cycles you could go through to speed up the process, but I don't know where to get that information.

Alright I might just start driving it more than to see

In the beginning days of obd2.

The car had to be driven 60 miles after a reset before emissions readiness.

These days it's drive cycles. Cold to hot.
And if the problem isn't fixed. The light comes back on.
So pretty much start the car let it get to temp than shut it off and do it again? These are the only ones i have left

So I got all except the nmhc and the exhaust gas sensor not ready being in utah it says I can have one not ready for it to pass and I drove it a ton today (thank God it auto regened) if there is a specific way to do those that would be awesome as I've tried doing the start up idle for 2 minutes drive at 55 for 3 minutes decel to 20mph than go back to 55 for 5 minutes any help would be appreciated if not I guess I'll jist keep on doing cold to hot cycles
