Good evening I just installed the 3.4 PCV fix kit this morning. Last year I replaced the intake manifold due to missing check valve. Because it was new I had to push the intake manifold check valve out. Should I remove the intake and try and remove that check valve? Not sure if that will damage anything or where it will go if left in the intake.

Get it out if you can, but honestly, it's small and made of very soft rubber. If you drop it and can't retrieve it, It'll go right on through and you'll never know it. Won't hurt a thing

I could not get mine out the first time stabbing at it( or so I thought) When the Cruze returned home it was missing... I must have loosened it up?

Anyway, Once I installed the Plug with the JB Weld it seemed to fix everything. I know it's been running well with No problems and no leaking Oil! Great Fix! can't believe GM doesn't fix this... oh yeah, that would be smart, and they don't make the 1.4 anymore...

**** so Dave has claimed another victim I see. That kit will last u maybe 6 mths before it's full of oil again. The kits are just a band aid and hints, u get what u pay for. Here's what u need to do as I built my Cruze into a 450whp monster from frame up. First thing I did was get rid of the pcv system and bypass it using ZZPERFORMANCES 299$ PCV BYPASS KIT! That's odd, because the Cruze kit fix that I installed on my sons car has been there for about 4 years now and functions perfectly to this day.

Edit: Typo... I meant 2 years, not 4. Regardless, the point is the same. The kit works, it's affordable, and it solves the problem

Well the 3.4 kits I thought we were buying from a guy named Andre? And Dave Is Super Cruzes correct? I see Dave has a Catch can solution but I could not use that in CA with emissions inspections. BTW I so far have passed 2 CA smog checks with the 3.4 kit installed. With those silver hose clamps it looks very factory GM under there. Nothing to catch any inspectors eye.

That being said I did have oil build up in my intake after about 6 months after installing the 3.4 kit from Andre. But I also was driving on the bad PCV valve and Broken Valve Cover diaphragm for many years before that so I am not sure if the oil build up was because of that or the installation of the 3.4 fix and once the system was working well (NO CEL) it started bringing up all the deposited oil from the intercooler up into the rest of the system? Or is it just that the factory Oil separator system in the valve cover is just poorly designed and under performing? Not sure. Got it all cleaned up now and a fresh turbo on there at 117k miles so will check things at next oil change to see if I see any evidence of oil vapor intrusion.
