My 2011 order was cancelled because the paint color was unavailable. Dealer said we can go with a 2012. I really want the Pioneer stereo, but now it's only available with the sunroof. Does anyone have a sunroof in their Cruze? I'm wondering how much headroom is lost.

I saw a 2011 LTZ with a sunroof and it didn't look like any room was lost at all. I took a photo of the interior -- if you want, I can dig it up and post it. You're going with a 1LT, I'm assuming?

2011 LTZ RS with factory sunroof. Don't notice any loss of headroom, but there must be a little.

Maybe half inch lost IMO. Sunroofs dont usually take off that much room.

Yes, 1LT. I didn't really pay attention when I test drove one, but when I look at the specs, headroom looks almost identical to the impala. I know that has plenty of room with the sunroof.

According to the dealer I bought mine at you lose 2-1/2 inches. For me that's a killer, I do not have it, but when I drove one with it my hair hit the ceiling. You shoud sit on them both. the dealer most likely has one of each.

Sit in both and make sure the seats are adjusted somewhat the same....I am 6' 5" and drove 2 Cruzes (2lt and LTZ). Both had sunroofs, and I was fine. Not sure how much clearance I had between my head and the roof, but I did not bump/touch head to roof....

Thanks gman19, I'm 6'3" so I think I'll be fine. Dealer doesn't have one with a sunroof. The color I wanted was Taupe Gray, he said it isn't even an option to choose for the 2012's. I'm leaning towards the black granite metallic with the black interior.

I'm 6'1" and have tons of headroom. Mine has a sunroof. You can adjust the level / height of the seat. I have mine as far down as possible.

The Cruze is selling very well here in the Twin Cities that it only shows 5 Taupe Greys in the area for inventory, mainly LT's & ECO's. So if you don't mind waiting just order it the way you want it..That's what we did when the Cruze was first released..

Well the Taupe Grey cancellation might be akin to my cancellation of the Imperial Blue. I know when I originally ordered my Imperial Blue back in April, there was also a delay on the Taupe Grey Metallic because of the Japan quake/tsunami. As popular as the Taupe Grey color was across GM products, some shortage, i.e., Japan, probably forced them to get rid of those colors impacted.
