Seems like this is a universal issue for these cars. After getting the stuck key out of the ignition, the car simply refuses to start. I’ve tried jumping, changed out the engine, done the regular PM on the car & I’ve simply run out of options. We spend more money on diagnostics than fixing the issue since the mechanics all keep blaming on a sensor. Ready to return the car to the dealership. Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome to the forum. Mine did this once and it was due to a dead battery. The key locked itself in the ignition. When you say you changed out the engine, you mean a whole new engine??? Does it attempt to crank when you turn the key? If you have recently purchased it, and you are within a return period that may be a good suggestion.

Welcome Aboard!(y)

As Thebigzeus said, if you can, return it. If they are blaming the issue on a sensor, why don't they replace it? Get them to put every thing on paper and document it at least. I would stand there at the service writers desk until they do. That way you can bring it somewhere and get it fixed. If you get it, post it here for some possible advice. Do the dash lights turn on? If so, is the MIL/SEL/CEL on? If so, try and get someone to read the codes.

Don't forget to introduce yourself and your Cruze here.
