Hey guys
My friend has a 2012, 1.8 L cruze ls. The car has 80.000 miles on it and he gets the p0056 code. Nothing wrong with the car though, works and runs great.
And since this is a catalyst problem, I want to give Scotty Kilmer's thinner solution a shot. Did anybody ever try it on a cruze? What are your thoughts?

Found this about the code you mention:
"Potential causes of a P0056 trouble code may include: Open circuit inside oxygen sensor or open power or ground wires to oxygen sensor Exhaust system ground strap may have become corroded or broken PCM/ECM or oxygen sensor heater circuit wiring has failed"

It doesn't sound like it is a catalyst problem, but a sensor problem. Strange thing is the P0056 is for the Bank 2 Sensor 2. Bank 2 being the side opposite cylinder #1. Which I didn't think a Cruze 1.8L would have a Bank 2, typically found in V6 or V8 engines where there are two sides to the exhaust system.
