Hi All, I have what appears to be a timing cover gasket leak which is getting worse by the day. Sat through a couple of videos that show how to go about fixing this. Pretty BIG job!

In some threads there is mention of being able to do this without removing the oil pan. Anyone able to share any experiences/videos/write-ups for this option?

I don't have access to hoist or ramps so trying to scope the feasibility of tackling this myself.

I am at about 100K miles.

Autozone. used to have repair iinstructions on their website. Don't know if they still do. IIRC. They bought alldata.com. You could subscribe for one month fee of $20. Or look in to buying a Chilton/Haynes manual. Don't remember what name they're using. The 2 companies have merged. They also have a downloadable version if you order online. You can buy the manual from any parts store that sells them and has it in stock.

Yeah they’ve gotten crazy with their cost. I used to buy one every time I bought a different car. But now there are too many alternative sources to justify that cost. They are great manuals though. They paid for themselves many times over back then.
