Hello! i have a 2014 Chevy cruze 1.8 (52k miles) and im planning to change my engine oil along with transmission oil. I would like to ask if changing the transmission oil is necessary?. I read some forum discussion that i should change it about 30k miles?

Transmissions need change just like engine needs change.

Just not as frequent.

Brake fluid should be changed also. And antifreeze.

Nothing lasts forever.

This all depends on how long you intend to keep the car, and if you care about who owns it after you. If you're going to trade it in after 150k miles or so, I would probably change it once around 60k (or possibly never change it, depending on how it feels). But if you plan to pass it onto someone or if you want to keep it for more than 200k miles, then it's definitely something you should do every 30k or so.

45,000 miles is the recommended trans fluid interval for the 6T transmissions in these.
