I got told that my VVT solenoid needs to be replaced today, estimate >100 Dollars, obviously that is something we can do ourselves but I am t rying to figure out which part is the right one, there are so many different sites saying one or the other.

I should note that I have an oil smell but no active error codes on any of the ridiculous $2800 repair estimate that I got today from Aamco.
