I recently was given a 2011 Chevy Cruze 1.4 turbo that had been sitting for 4 years from my aunt that didn't have the means to get it fixed. She thought that it was just a head gasket. I was able to l get it limped down the street to the auto parts store and got these codes:
P0016 X3
p0496
p0300
p0299
p0324
p0011
p0014
Does anyone know what could be causing these or if these codes are worth getting fixed? The car only has 93k miles and looks immaculate inside and out and would hate to call it a complete loss.

Welcome to the forum đź‘‹, so here we go:

To start, this issue may be some of your codes so read this first and see in the post what codes it can cover:

P0016 is an issue with the camshaft position sensor. It may be out of time, bad sensor, wiring, a plethora of things

P0496 is likely the purge valve under the hood

p0300 is random misfires, could be many many things, fuel injectors, spark plugs, bad gas, coil pack etc. I would probably start with plugs and a coil pack to test

p0299
See first link at top, could also be this

p0324 has to do with the knock sensor so the car is either having spark knock or the sensor is bad

p0011 and p0014 goes along with the p0016 probably, could also be set due to low oil pressure. Failed camshaft sprockets, failed ECM, and connection issues.

At worse a used engine in good condition is around $2200 from ebay. With the price of new and used cars, probably worth it if the head gasket is indeed blown, or you can diagnose and tackle each issue here. Good luck and hope this helped!
