my commute is 500 miles each way over the rocky mountains

currently drive diesel cruze with ~35,000 miles

next week will drive 98 cherokee with 190,000 miles

used to drive 96 miata with 100,000 miles (rolled it, totalled)

prior to that 92 cherokee with 250,000 miles (too much rust, i just use it as a farm truck now)

'old' and high mileage doesnt mean unreliable

your drive is 1000 miles a day? that's ridiculous, I would 100% be finding another job or moving closer. sweet jesus you have like 12 hours of driving time

Does anyone else take advantage of the timer on their cruze in between oil changes? I do, it's great to see how long the car has been running as well. I'm at around 4500mi and 165hrs on this interval. As you can tell, quite a bit of city stuff on this run.
I've never paid attention to that. I think I might look at that next time I change oil. Still have a few thousand miles to go.
