I have a 2014 eco with manual transmission. It has just over 36k. I'm going to change my plugs soon but don't have them yet. I went to check and regap my oem plugs and all 4 boots are stuck. I tried to remove them but they just aren't budging. Any ideas on how to remove these without tearing them? Thanks!

Just slide a really thin feeler gauge in there and run it around the boot in a knife-like movement. A plastic knife would do the same thing if you run it backwards so you don't cut into the boot.
When you put them back on, liberally apply silicone spray to the outside of the boots.

The Smurfettes will be along soon to enlighten ya about the 2014 coil pack and boot assembly dismantlement ! I have the 1.8 and mine just pops straight out with an even pressure up towards me ..
Holy molly.....I've never seen THAT before! I would think that the ribs on the top of the boot combined with the boot/plug connection is the problem. You might try spraying some silicon into the boot to help with the boot/plug part and try Xtreme's idea of a feeler gauge or by trying to squeeze and twist the top of the boots to break the suction. At this point, time and perseverance are your allies.
Mine were stuck the same way tore three of the tops off said enough was enough left the stock plugs in. The dealership can deal with it oh I also snapped the plastic coil cover in half they sure do build engines like they used to..... Garbage plastic junk! The car is a year and a month old and has 35000 Km's on it, it's running fine but figured for the 15 mins to change em I'd throw in a set of plugs not so quick or easy after all.
My 14 Cruze LT with 60K miles basically had the boots fused to the plugs. With wd 40 I got 3 of 4 off using a pair of channel locks. There is no way the last was coming off...I had to cut it with an exacto knife. What a joke! I also love how they don't sell new boots? Really?

ebay cheaper I got mine new w/ boots $52 shipped. I made a temp one from a old boot & what was left of the old boot from cruze, lil silicon. worked till I got a new boot 2 weeks later it worked fine. good luck. & are rotors are 10.8 good for are cars, but I am looking into the big brake kit from the buick encore
Just an update as someone who just replaced all their spark plugs and coil pack, my boots came off of the pack because they were stuck to the spark plugs as well. The trick is to just take a thin screwdriver and insert it into the center of the boot and work it off of the spark plug. I was getting scared trying to pull them off because they kept tearing, but after doing this, they practically fell right off. The rubber seems to get somewhat fused to the plug body. .
