What did the GM customer support guys say?
they told me that they are going to look in to it and get all the info from the dealership and see what options there are. they said they call back in 2 or 3 days. so i am hopping for so good news from them. because i am not happy with the car and don't even feel comfortable driving it.

There are only 2 things that can happen to coolant. It's either leaking or burning. If it was burning, you'd have a smoke screen behind you, and your engine would have most likely locked up by now.

If your car isn't smoking from the exhaust (thick white smoke from the tail pipe), it's leaking. There's no question, and there's no denying it. Just because the monkey at the dealership can't find the leak doesn't mean it isn't there. I would suggest calling GM, and taking it to a different dealer.

Good luck.

Also, there are grammar and spelling programs on your computer, using them would save a lot of confusion.

Huh?

Anyways, if you're not sure what coolant smells like, pop the coolant cap off when the engine is cold and have a whiff. Don't stick your nose in there, but get close enough to where you can smell what it smells like.

Your dealership is essentially calling you an idiot telling you that there's nothing wrong and topping off the coolant is normal. Take your car back over there and tell them to say those things in writing on your service record, and watch the story change immediately.

yea they probably would change there story but since i got a hold of gm i will see what they can do for me. yea it kind piss me off i taking it over there with the coolant almost complete going and they said it was ok because the car was running and was hot. and would fill back up when cold. so the next morning i look and still the same level. :)

I would advise taking some kind of automotive class, and recommend it to the guy who told you that as well. The process is the other way around. As the coolant heats up, it expands and starts to fill up the overflow tank, which is why it's called an overflow tank. As it cools down, it contracts, creating a suction that pulls coolant out of the overflow tank.

look all i am saying is i lost my trust in chevy and won't buy another.
It's up to you what you buy and how you make your decisions. Many of us have owned more cars than we care to mention and bought our Cruze for a reason. Every car will break down at some point, and within the first two years of a car's production, there will naturally be a few more problems, but those get worked out, the company eventually takes responsibility, and we move on as long as GM treats us like valuable customers.

i know this but i went form driving a piece of crap car with lots of problems so when i got this car i though my car problems are no more and i can just drive the car with out worrying about car trouble but i get this and it as problem after problem it just like my old car. this is why i am so pissed a new car should not give people this many problems.

Don't misunderstand me, I am aware of why you're frustrated or upset. How do you think I felt when my front suspension started making popping noises 800 miles after I bought it? Not great considering I specifically bought it for the same reason you're driving yours. However, you need to be aware that problematic brand new cars are not something that only GM has issues with. This is rampant across all manufacturers, be it Hyundai, Ford, Dodge, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, you name it. It happens.

The reason why some of these issues are more common with the Cruze is because it hasn't been around very long. We're in the 2nd year of production now and GM has already fixed numerous issues for the 2012 model year that were found in the 2011 model year. I can bet you the 2013 model year will be even more problem-free. The reality of it is that this is a brand new model of a brand new generation of car. It's not like a GM w-body that GM has been producing since 1988 (and still makes the Impala on). Have some patience, let GM take responsibility for these issues, and you'll be able to enjoy the car afterward. Call it a stroke of bad luck, considering the number of us on this board who haven't had issues of any sort.

Every new car has problems. Warrantys are given for a reason. Problems happen, they fix them. Just because you went to a shadyass dealer, doesn't mean you knock the entire car maker. Think with your head man. Typical American, never happy unless they are bitching.
