Yes, you should install the less stiff spring. or its a defective unit. Thats yet another downside to aftermarket vta bov's, especially on cars that came with a good bpv, you have to adjust them and there is maintenance you should do to them to ensure the valve doesn't start sticking over time.

 

Ok, some a**hole *cough*me*cough* failed to reinstall the vacuum line and thus, caused the pressure to go back into the turbo and out the air box.

Not the BOV's fault, my fault.

Doesn't have a chirp to it. I'm going to install the yellow spring later and see what happens. The air release takes quite a long time vs other BOV's I've heard including my SRT-4.

My girlfriend said the exact same thing when i installed the K&N SRI, my face was exactly the same.

Mine did the same thing at first(I actually loved the sound) then it fixed itself. I however installed it properly so not sure why mine did that first? Anyway, hasn't sounded like that anymore...kinda bummed lol

Titan also a heads up, the bypass will need to be serviced and you will notice a similar condition when you will need to relube the center shaft. This will propably not be for a while but listen for the same compressor surge and a tinny type noise. I usually do this about once a year before the colder months.

Yeah I noticed a lot of red stuff when I swapped springs. I assumed it was lube.

only bov's ive really found to be worth while and not leak have been Tial. and their price tag reflects their quality. HKS and turboxs are notorious for leaking when "closed" Not too sure about greddy.
