Hi all, my pcv fixkit hose attached to the intake is quite mis-shapen from? vaccuum? Have not noticed this until today. Engine runs great. I'll check the valve later in case of failure but it was fine couple K mi ago. Pic taken with engine at idle.

Thanks, I agree. The original corrugated gm hose is brittle after continuous heating/oil vapor but it is rigid to withstand the vaccuum...
Of course, 1.4 induced ptsd had me imagining how is my engine all of a sudden idling with massive vacuum.
Lesson learned- simply measure the vacuum with a gauge and compare to specs = normal vacuum --> bad hose...

I just now saw this thread. The hose you have is defective. Do not use silicone hose as it is not intended for applications exposed to petroleum products. It is suitable for clean air or coolant use only. It will eventually leak.

The hose used in the PCV fix kit is indeed rated for vacuum, and designed for PCV use. However, I do get defects from time to time where the hose is ovalled out from improper packaging or weakened due to manufacturing defect. If anyone runs into that issue, just reach out to me on cruzekits.com and I'll replace the hose free of charge.

I found that Hydraulic hoses work the best, that's what I have on the car now, they're stiff enough to handle pcv vacuum.
