I have a 2014 Cruze LT with the 1.8L. I had a lost communication with the TCM error code. Took it to a local reputable auto repair shop and they confirmed that the TCM was bad. At the time, the transmission would shift into gear, but sort of slammed into gear and would run in limp mode. I ordered a new TCM and replaced it. I haven't had the TCM programmed to the car yet, and I know that it needs to be done by the dealer, but when I start the car and shift from park to reverse, or any gears it doesn't do anything.

Just curious, is this normal until the TCM is programmed? Or do I have another issue?

It was driving before with a programmed tcm but now it won't with an unprogrammed tcm.

Yes, just in limp mode and it shifted super hard.
