Well #9 my most recent 2015 Cruze, I found the sun visor on the driver side has not been the "worse for wear". Along with missing the mirror cover: when I have the thing down and to the side to block the sun from my left side and I go around a turn or bend I would get smacked in the side of my head? As the visor was quite loose. So I looked into replacing and they are like new cars(not available). So I did a search and found one on eBay for $19($37 with shipping and handling). I just thought probably came from one of the ones I wrecked? LOL Turns out from a salvage yard in Pa. Delivered on Tues and installed last night, I was wondering what tools to be used to release the clips that hold it up esp. the one in front that most people describe using a pair of needle nose pliers? For me since I know I am not using again, after removing the screws and loosening the side clips I just pulled it down and the "new one" went right in place. Funny of all the Cruzes I have had, this is the first one with visor issues and also a CEL. If I bought a "Lemon" as some would say, all has been corrected and now just enjoy the car as if I bought a new car with some miles on it! Most of all I found a decent LT 6M that has less than a billion miles on it!

I replaced mine a few months ago. I dealt with getting smacked in the head for 4 years and was tired of it.
Few tips...
You have to remove the bolts on the handle above your head, the front piller airbag cover, visor clip, and the plastic trim around the center ceiling lights, and unscrew and pull that all down.
Pull the circle trim piece off the visor rod and slide it down. Remove the screws. I was not actually able to get my old visor out 'cleanly' so I just cut it out with side cutters. The wire for the power is glued in.
When pulling the headliner down, pull evenly, it is very brittle and will snap, leaving you with it sagging right in the front where you look straight ahead. If you have a sunroof, undo the magnets and pull it down from that side too and prop it open. I put a piece of board inbetween the headliner and ceiling to hold it down and through the sunroof access, reach in and cut the glue to get the wire out to unhook the light. If you don't have a sunroof, you probably will have to pull everything down from the drivers handle all the way over to the passenger, then let the front of the headliner hang down to access the wires/glue.
After putting it back together, within 2 weeks I had to replace the smaller circle ring cover that goes over the rod. It wouldn't stay snapped in, so be prepared to buy one of those too.
This is not easy to do and if you don't have a sunroof it's going to be hard to do without pulling the whole headliner down.

Wow, you went way too far. This is a three screw mounted bracket with a few clips thrown in for good measure.
You conveniently forgot that I explained mine has the wiring for the mirror light. The lead is about 12" long and goes quite far into the headliner.
