Hey Fellow Cruzers,
I think the PCV valve in my car's intake manifold is stuck closed. Is it possible to clean it with brake cleaner or similar to get it working again? The orange nipple is clearly visible without even having to clean it with cotton swabs.
Can I add Seafoam to the intake manifold and run the car to give the manifold "a bit of a clean". Will it cause any sort of damage to the corrugated hose or the turbo?
Thank you in advance.

Hey JLL,
May be I should have framed my question differently and just asked "How to clean dirt and grime accumulated in the intake manifold" without mentioning Seafoam.
Cheers

To replace these PVCs they are built into the valve cover which is on the top of the engine they attend to crack Crank the car up and see if there's any air being sucked in. If you feel any air being sucked in it's bad and they cost about $100 from GM in the aftermarket ones are about 70 to $80. I recommend the GM one so you know you don't have any more issues. That's a big problem with these cars. Is the valve covers end up having PCV valve issues? Do not clean it. Do not put seafoam in it cuz it's impossible. Your best best spending $100 to save all your problems. Mine on my car went bad at $129K miles

You must replace the whole entire valve cover with new gasket to replace the PCV valve which they are in graded into the valve cover. They are $100 at GM which is recommended. The aftermarkets are 70 to $80. I would recommend the GM brand because they're heavier. They're more durable and they have better bolts. They don't strip and they don't warp out
