They apparently have gone down in price haha. I think I paid 65 used from another member years ago. They didn’t used to be that cheap.

The only thing I know is that this specifically works on our models because I used it.

Would take offers but probably just worth me keeping it I guess.

This procedure doesn't work for all people?
Not on later Cruzes.

I suspect it was removed as it was causing too many problems. Imagine doing a relearn in a busy shop with tires being filled and mounted in nearby service bays. Far too easy for the car to "learn" someone else's tire. And if that happens, an unhappy customer will be back the next day with a TPMS light because one of the learned sensors is "missing".

Looks like the gen2 can possibly be done the same way. I figured out how to access the relearn.
Starting with the 13' and up model years, no GM vehicle can be done by dropping air pressure. You have to have a relearn tool. I too did it the way the video showed and never had an issue on older GM vehicles. I bought my tool in 2013 and cost me $75. Same tool now can be bought for $16. I would rather use the tool anyway. Super easy and fast. Can do all four corners faster than it would take to do one like shown in the video.

Right- when the factories overseas get our tech... IE cell phone charging cables etc haha

Again if anybody actually wants it, make me an offer, then at least you know this one worked because I used it, and you’re dealing with a US based seller :)

If you watch the video carefully, you'll notice that he shortened the parts where he was letting the air out. Apparently, it takes quite a bit of air.

I never used one and my tires always seem to be accurate after rotation.
What do you mean by "accurate"? The only way the car "knows" what pressure reading go with what location on the car is via the relearn procedure. You can rotate the tires and everything will seem OK. It will still let you know when you need to stop in and top off all the tires. Everything is fine until one tire goes flat. The display may show it's the left front that's lost pressure when it's really the left rear.

You'll still know when something's wrong, just not which tire. If that's OK, then you can skip the relearn until you change wheels or sensors.

Yep. I'm finding that out.

And I really didn't wanna buy a tool that'll probably be lost the next time I need it. ? in 18 months.

Any recommendations on a universal brand?

Iif I'm going to buy one. I'd rather it be multi brand capable. Instead of Chevrolet specific. I can use it on other cars. And not have to buy another one when i decide to sell my cruze and buy something else.

Software upgradeable with pc would be a nice feature also. :)

OK OK, I am misspoken! How can I say I never saw a need for it as I still have factory wheels and not planning on changing and as long as the readings are what I expect(around 35) I am OK.

just get the vehicle specific, theyre less than $20, what you want doesnt exist for the price you wanna pay.
