Hi guys! I'm new to this site and i just recently had problems with my cruze.
Headlights low, parklight right, tail light right, airconditioning, and powerlock all went off at the same time. it all came back the same time a few times and now totally gone.

Checked all the fuse in the engine bay and in the lower left hand part of the dash.

Please enlighten me how to fix this problem. is there anything under the dashboard like a relay that needs to be replaced?

Thanks ya'll!

Hi bnkrpepper,

Have you considered taking your Cruze into the dealership to have them look into it? Please PM me your VIN, current mileage, contact info and preferred dealership so I can better assist :). Thanks!

Hi Patsy!

Thank you for responding but im planning to DIY this bit.

Can you enlighten me what the image below is for?

problem could be coming from any of them if not both so it would be awesome if you could tell me what they are and what they are for?

Thanks!

Why doesn't this sound like the old bad battery cable or bad chassis ground issues we've seen here before? What year and model of Cruze?

I think you're looking at the BCM or body control module.....a little computer if you will.

You indicate some lighting not working on one side, and no low beams.
Although a failed BCM could contribute, I'm thinking more along the lines of a ground interruption and there are LOTS of ground points......any which of them will drive the BCM insane.

Thats why I asked if stock or not.

I think it's a 2011-2012 cruze sedan.

I'ts just so weird it came back a few times and all of them came back, and now they're gone all at the same time as well.

It couldn't be one relay for all of them right?

A/C, Powerlock, low beams, parklight right and tail light right NOT working, AND i couldn't fill up fuel because the power lock isn't working so the car is stuck in my garage and won't be able to take it to service area.

These new model cars are definitely a pain. i have an 87 car and troubleshooting is sooooo easy to do.

No single relay controls that many circuits, so no, I doubt a relay concern.

I think you should focus on all the ground studs under the hood.....there are a few around each shock tower, several on the firewall, several on the core support, and of course look at the lug ends of the negative battery cable.....I believe it splits into three circuits.
Remove each nut that holds a lug to the body....sand the lug and the bottom of the fastener......all of them....gonna be time consuming but there is no other way.....you might get lucky after just a few so start with the main ground runs from the battery.

Good luck!
Rob

The sticker on the driver's door jamb will tell you the model year and build date of the car. How many miles on odo?

2009?
If so, we really can't give much more than the basics we touched upon.....we didn't have the car available here till 2011.
Odds are, the wiring harnesses and related electrical are different than our units.

What country are you located?

From Philippines Rob. it shouldn't be that hard because those are different electrical that went off and on at the same time right? but for some reason it's been a pain trying to figure out which is which. LOL

I think these cars were made so they if they malfunction, there's no other option but to go to chevrolet dealer. smart move.

The problem is, there's not enough fuel to go to the dealer to have it serviced and the fuel filler door cannot be opened without the power locks. which i think is dumb enough to be done on a car. LOL

Wow, what an engineering Catch 22!

Out of curiosity, have you tried flexing the primary battery cables as far as you can reach from the battery? There have been several instances of these being bad here and there may be a chance that yours are sourced from the same supplier. It's a long shot, but won't cost you anything to try.

We don't even have a fuel door lock on our US Cruzes, let alone a power unlock. On the vehicles I did own with a power unlock fuel door, could back off the trunk liner and manually release it. If this helps any, would check on this.

Agree with Robby to check for a ground problem, but if the flashram is corrupted in the BCM, can also be the problem. In this case, only your dealer can reflash it.

In the US Cruze's all this stuff is controlled by the Body Module Computer, thus called the BCM. Fires pulses to a underhood relay/fuse box on the left hand side.

Know for a fact the US version is entirely different than the European version, so forgive us if we are completely lost with your Cruze.

Did you ever get this problem fixed on your Chevy Cruze? I’m having the exact same problem and haven’t seen much online about it. I’m wondering if you every took it to Chevy or not. Might try sanding all the grounds but you said that didn’t work for you.

Hey any finds? My Cruze has been stuck in an almost identical situation and even more electrical errors have raised.
